Ingredients
- 🍗 Chicken breast: 1 lb (about 450 g), cut into strips
- 🍞 Breadcrumbs: 1 cup (about 100 g)
- 🥚 Eggs: 2 large
- 🧄 Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- 🌶️ Paprika: 1 teaspoon
- 🧂 Salt: 1 teaspoon
- 🧂 Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
- 🛢️ Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by cutting it into strips and patting it dry with paper towels.
- Create the breading mixture by beating the eggs in one bowl and combining breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
- Coat each chicken strip in the egg wash, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly drizzle or spray the air fryer basket with olive oil, then place the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Check for doneness using a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken tenders rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
