Description
A delicious recipe for crispy Air Fryer French Fries that are healthier than traditional deep-fried fries.
Ingredients
- 🥔 Potatoes: 4 medium-sized (Russet or Yukon Gold)
- 🛢️ Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
- 🧂 Salt: 1 teaspoon
- 🌶️ Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
- 🧄 Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon (optional)
Instructions
- Select the right potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold).
- Cut the potatoes into uniform sticks, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
- Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Toss the dried potato sticks in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Check for doneness; they should be golden-brown and crispy. Cook longer if needed in 2-3 minute increments.
Notes
- Use firm and fresh potatoes for the best results.
- Experiment with different seasonings for variety.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
