Description
A quick and flavorful dish that brings a taste of Japan to your dining table with juicy chicken and savory teriyaki sauce, all cooked in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 🍗 Chicken Breasts: 4 pieces (about 1.5 lbs or 680 g)
- 🍶 Teriyaki Sauce: 1/2 cup (120 ml)
- 🧄 Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
- 🧄 Ginger: 1 tablespoon, freshly grated
- 🌱 Sesame Seeds: 2 tablespoons (for garnish)
- 🌿 Green Onions: 2, chopped (for garnish)
- 🧂 Salt: to taste
- 🧂 Pepper: to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken by combining teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a mixing bowl. Coat the chicken in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, season with salt and pepper, and place in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Prepare extra teriyaki sauce in a small saucepan over low heat while the chicken cooks.
- Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice and drizzle with warm teriyaki sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter marinade, add more honey.
- For a spicy kick, include red pepper flakes.
- Let the chicken rest after cooking to retain moisture.
