Description

Juicy baked chicken kofta meatballs served with a refreshing herb yogurt sauce. A flavorful and healthy dish perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, pepper, parsley, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, mint, and dill to make the herb yogurt sauce.
  6. Serve the meatballs warm with the yogurt sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Use lean ground chicken for a healthier option.
  • You can substitute parsley with cilantro if preferred.
  • For extra flavor, add 1/2 tsp of chili flakes to the meat mixture.
