- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Dip chicken in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown chicken for 3 minutes per side.
- Place chicken in a baking dish. Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
