A classic beef and cheese lasagna with layers of pasta, rich meat sauce, and creamy cheese filling.
Ingredients

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in a skillet. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the beef. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half the Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
- Layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella in a baking dish. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for beef.
- No-boil lasagna noodles can be used for quicker prep.
- Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
