Ingredients

- π¦ Vanilla extract β 2 teaspoons (10 ml)
- π° Frosting β 2 cups (480 ml), store-bought or homemade
- π Sprinkles β 1 cup (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cool, frost the top of one layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the top and sides of the cake.
- Decorate with colorful sprinkles.
- Slice and serve at room temperature.
