  • 🍰 Frosting – 2 cups (480 ml), store-bought or homemade
  • 🌈 Sprinkles – 1 cup (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans and smooth the tops.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cool, frost the top of one layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the top and sides of the cake.
  10. Decorate with colorful sprinkles.
  11. Slice and serve at room temperature.
