Description

The Birthday Cake Girl is a vibrant, colorful cake perfect for celebrations, featuring fluffy layers and sweet frosting that brings joy to all ages.

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour: 2 ½ cups (320 g)
  • Granulated sugar: 2 cups (400 g)
  • Unsalted butter: 1 cup (226 g), softened
  • Large eggs: 4
  • Baking powder: 1 tablespoon (15 g)
  • Vanilla extract: 2 teaspoons (10 ml)
  • Milk: 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Frosting: 3 cups (for decorating, store-bought or homemade)
  • Sprinkles: 1 cup (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  6. Divide the batter into separate bowls and tint each portion with food coloring if desired.
  7. Pour each colored batter into the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, frost the first layer with frosting, add the second layer, and repeat. Frost the entire cake with a crumb coat and chill for 30 minutes.
  10. After chilling, apply a thicker layer of frosting and decorate with sprinkles.
  11. Slice and serve your beautiful cake to enjoy with friends and family.
