Description

A rich and creamy Black Forest Cheesecake combining the flavors of chocolate, cherries, and cream cheese for a decadent dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Mix cookie crumbs and melted butter, press into bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Stir in vanilla and sour cream until blended.
  5. Pour half the batter over crust. Spoon cherry filling evenly over batter. Top with remaining batter.
  6. Bake 50-55 minutes or until center is almost set.
  7. Cool completely, then refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Drizzle melted chocolate over top before serving. Garnish with whipped cream.

  • Allow cheesecake to cool gradually to prevent cracking.
