- 2 (8 oz) ribeye steaks
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
- Sear steaks for 2 minutes per side.
- Mix blue cheese, breadcrumbs, butter, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Press the mixture onto the top of each steak.
- Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
- Let rest for 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use room-temperature steaks for even cooking.
- Adjust baking time for preferred doneness.
- Substitute gorgonzola for blue cheese if desired.
