A juicy steak topped with a rich blue cheese crust, perfect for a special dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) ribeye steaks
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
  4. Sear steaks for 2 minutes per side.
  5. Mix blue cheese, breadcrumbs, butter, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
  6. Press the mixture onto the top of each steak.
  7. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
  8. Let rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature steaks for even cooking.
  • Adjust baking time for preferred doneness.
  • Substitute gorgonzola for blue cheese if desired.
