Description

Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta is a delightful fusion of creamy Alfredo sauce and bold Cajun seasoning, featuring tender shrimp and juicy steak over fettuccine pasta.

Ingredients

  • 🍝 Fettuccine pasta – 12 oz (340 g)
  • 🍤 Shrimp – 1 lb (450 g), peeled and deveined
  • 🥩 Steak – 1 lb (450 g), sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup (240 ml)
  • 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
  • 🌶️ Cajun seasoning – 2 tablespoons
  • 🧀 Parmesan cheese – 1 cup (100 g), grated
  • 🌿 Fresh parsley – 1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)
  • 🧂 Salt and pepper – to taste
  • 🛢️ Olive oil – 2 tablespoons (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak by cutting it into bite-sized pieces and seasoning with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook the steak for 3-4 minutes until browned, then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds, then add shrimp and remaining Cajun seasoning, cooking until shrimp is pink and opaque (2-3 minutes).
  4. Remove shrimp and set aside. Lower heat and add heavy cream to the skillet, stirring occasionally.
  5. Mix in grated Parmesan cheese until melted, adjusting thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  6. Add cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and steak back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the Alfredo sauce.
  • Feel free to substitute the steak with grilled chicken for a lighter option.
  • Experiment with different pasta shapes if desired.
  • Don’t skip the garnish of fresh parsley for added flavor and color.
