- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp honey (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder (if using). Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, egg, melted butter, and honey (if using).
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
