  • 2 tbsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder (if using). Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, egg, melted butter, and honey (if using).
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
