Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  5. Add turmeric, red chili, coriander, and cumin powder. Mix well.
  6. Add chicken pieces and cook until they turn white.
  7. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until chicken is tender.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with rice or roti.
