Ingredients

  • Cooked chicken: 2 cups, shredded or diced
  • Cooked rice: 2 cups (white or brown)
  • Asparagus: 2 cups, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Cream of mushroom soup: 1 can (10.5 oz)
  • Shredded cheese: 1 cup (cheddar or your choice)
  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon (or to taste)
  • Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon (or to taste)
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon (optional, for greasing the baking dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If not already cooked, prepare the rice according to package instructions.
  3. Cook the chicken if not using leftover; shred or dice it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Trim and cut the asparagus into 1-inch pieces.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, rice, asparagus, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
