Ingredients
- Cooked chicken: 2 cups, shredded or diced
- Cooked rice: 2 cups (white or brown)
- Asparagus: 2 cups, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- Cream of mushroom soup: 1 can (10.5 oz)
- Shredded cheese: 1 cup (cheddar or your choice)
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon (or to taste)
- Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon (or to taste)
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon (optional, for greasing the baking dish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If not already cooked, prepare the rice according to package instructions.
- Cook the chicken if not using leftover; shred or dice it into bite-sized pieces.
- Trim and cut the asparagus into 1-inch pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, rice, asparagus, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
