A flavorful and juicy steak marinated with chipotle peppers, garlic, and spices for a smoky and spicy kick.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs flank steak or skirt steak
- 3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix chipotle peppers, garlic, olive oil, lime juice, honey, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Place steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Coat evenly.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off.
- Grill or sear for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- Let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Notes
- Adjust chipotle peppers for more or less heat.
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate doneness (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
- Slice thinly against the grain for tenderness.
