Description

Classic Beef Stroganoff is a beloved dish that brings comfort and warmth to the dinner table. This creamy, savory meal features tender strips of beef, sautéed mushrooms, and a rich sauce, all served over egg noodles.


Ingredients

  • Beef Sirloin: 1 lb, cut into thin strips
  • Mushrooms: 8 oz, sliced
  • Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Beef Broth: 2 cups
  • Sour Cream: 1 cup
  • Flour: 2 tablespoons
  • Egg Noodles: 8 oz
  • Butter: 3 tablespoons
  • Salt and Pepper: to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet, add beef strips, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, add chopped onion, and sauté until translucent. Then add mushrooms and garlic, cooking until tender.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables, stir, and gradually add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  5. Reduce heat, return beef to the skillet, add sour cream, and mix well. Heat through without boiling.
  6. Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles and garnish as desired.
