Description

Creamy Shrimp Fettuccine Pasta With Homemade Alfredo Sauce is a delightful dish that combines fresh shrimp with a rich, homemade Alfredo sauce, served over fettuccine pasta.

Ingredients

  • 🍝 Fettuccine pasta – 12 oz (340 g)
  • 🍀 Shrimp – 1 lb (450 g), peeled and deveined
  • πŸ₯› Heavy cream – 1 cup (240 ml)
  • 🧈 Butter – 1/2 cup (115 g)
  • πŸ§„ Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
  • πŸ§€ Parmesan cheese – 1 cup (100 g), grated
  • 🌿 Fresh parsley – 1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)
  • πŸ§‚ Salt – to taste
  • πŸ§‚ Pepper – to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. SautΓ© for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Adjust the consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  4. Add the cooked fettuccine and sautΓ©ed shrimp back into the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.
  5. Plate the dish, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh or high-quality frozen shrimp for the best flavor.
  • Don’t overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like asparagus or peas for extra nutrition.
