- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut mozzarella sticks in half.
- Place flour in a shallow bowl.
- Beat eggs in a second shallow bowl.
- Mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third shallow bowl.
- Roll each mozzarella stick in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
- Fry mozzarella sticks for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
- Freeze coated mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes before frying for extra crispiness.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing.
