Description

A delicious combination of crispy orange chicken served with flavorful fried rice.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup peas and carrots, diced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in orange juice, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic for 30 minutes.
  2. Coat chicken pieces in cornstarch and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a pan and scramble the egg.
  4. Add cooked rice, peas, and carrots to the pan and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve orange chicken over fried rice.

Notes

  • Use fresh orange juice for better flavor.
  • Adjust honey for desired sweetness.
