Ingredients

  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add carrots, peas, and celery. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Slowly pour in chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly.
  5. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add cooked chicken and mix well.
  7. Remove from heat and use as filling for your pot pie.
