Description

A fun and delicious meal that combines the crunch of Doritos with fresh vegetables and seasoned beef.


Ingredients

  • Ground beef: 1 lb
  • Taco seasoning: 1 package
  • Iceberg lettuce: 1 head, chopped
  • Cherry tomatoes: 1 cup, halved
  • Bell pepper: 1, diced
  • Small red onion: 1, finely chopped
  • Black beans: 1 can (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • Shredded cheddar cheese: 1 cup
  • Doritos: 1 bag (9.75 oz), any flavor
  • Salsa: 1 cup
  • Sour cream: 1 cup
  • Optional garnishes: Sliced black olives, jalapeños, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning to the cooked beef and stir well. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Chop the iceberg lettuce and place it in a large mixing bowl. Prepare the cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, and red onion.
  4. Add the prepared vegetables to the mixing bowl and toss gently to combine.
  5. Add the seasoned beef to the bowl and mix until evenly distributed.
  6. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Crush the Doritos and sprinkle them over the top of the salad.
  8. Drizzle salsa and sour cream over the salad and add any optional garnishes.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For best crunch, add Doritos just before serving.
