Ingredients

- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded roast beef
- 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup beef broth (for au jus)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in milk until just combined.
- Fold in roast beef and cheese.
- Drop dough onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Heat beef broth in a small saucepan for dipping.
- Serve warm with au jus.
Notes
- Use cold butter for flaky biscuits.
- Do not overmix the dough.
- Substitute provolone with Swiss or cheddar if preferred.
