Description
A delightful combination of tender steak tips, rich garlic butter, and creamy, cheesy rigatoni that brings family and friends together.
Ingredients
- Steak tips: 1 lb (about 450 g)
- Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
- Butter: 4 tablespoons
- Rigatoni pasta: 12 oz (about 340 g)
- Heavy cream: 1 cup (about 240 ml)
- Cheddar cheese: 1 cup, shredded
- Parsley: 1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt: to taste
- Pepper: to taste
Instructions
- Pat the steak dry and season with salt and pepper. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Sear the steak tips until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and let rest.
- In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the rigatoni until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and stir to combine.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet and stir until melted. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Toss the cooked rigatoni in the cheese sauce, then add the steak tips and mix gently.
- Plate the dish and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use tender cuts of steak like sirloin or ribeye.
- Make sure to let the steak rest after cooking for juicier bites.
- Reserve pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency.
- Feel free to experiment with different cheeses for the sauce.
