Description

Grilled Salmon with Dijon Mustard Sauce is a delightful blend of flavors featuring creamy Dijon mustard sauce, fresh salmon, and a smoky grilled finish, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 🐟 Salmon fillets: 4 pieces (about 6 oz each)
  • 🥫 Dijon mustard: 1/4 cup
  • 🥛 Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
  • 🍋 Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons (freshly squeezed)
  • 🧄 Garlic: 2 cloves (minced)
  • 🌿 Fresh dill: 2 tablespoons (chopped, plus extra for garnish)
  • 🧂 Salt: to taste
  • 🧂 Pepper: to taste
  • 🛢️ Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and brush both sides with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Dijon mustard, heavy cream, lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped dill. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the creamy Dijon sauce over them. Marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and ensure the grill grate is clean and lightly oiled.
  5. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill and cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes. Flip and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Remove the salmon from the grill and drizzle the remaining creamy Dijon sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh dill and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh, wild-caught salmon for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the sauce ingredients to suit your taste preferences.
  • Marinate the salmon for no more than 20 minutes to avoid mushiness.
  • Consider using a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
