Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp thyme
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until soft.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and add shredded chicken, pepper, and thyme.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and milk to form dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth.
- Cover and cook for 15 minutes until dumplings are fluffy.
- Serve hot.
