A delightful fusion of sweet and spicy flavors, Honey Cajun Butter Salmon is a standout choice for any dinner table, featuring a rich, buttery glaze paired with zesty Cajun seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 🐟 Salmon fillets: 4 pieces (about 6 oz each)
  • 🍯 Honey: 1/4 cup
  • 🌶️ Cajun seasoning: 2 tablespoons
  • 🧈 Butter: 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick)
  • 🧄 Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
  • 🍋 Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons (freshly squeezed)
  • 🧂 Salt and pepper: to taste
  • 🌿 Fresh parsley: for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbling, then add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute.
  3. Stir in honey and lemon juice, letting the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour half of the honey Cajun butter mixture over the seasoned salmon fillets.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and place the salmon fillets skin-side down, cooking for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Flip the fillets, pour the remaining honey Cajun butter over the top, and cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Remove the salmon from the skillet, drizzle with remaining honey Cajun butter, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice levels by adding more or less Cajun seasoning according to your taste.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
  • Frozen salmon can be used; just ensure it is properly thawed before cooking.
