Ingredients

  • ๐Ÿฆช Clams: 250 grams, scrubbed
  • ๐Ÿš Mussels: 250 grams, scrubbed and debearded
  • ๐ŸŸ White fish: 300 grams, cut into chunks (cod or halibut works well)
  • ๐Ÿ… Diced tomatoes: 1 can (about 400 grams)
  • ๐Ÿง„ Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • ๐Ÿง… Onion: 1 medium, diced
  • ๐Ÿท White wine: 1 cup (about 240 ml)
  • ๐Ÿฅ• Vegetable broth: 2 cups (about 480 ml)
  • ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • ๐ŸŒฟ Fresh herbs: 1/4 cup, chopped (parsley and basil)
  • ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Red pepper flakes: 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • ๐Ÿง‚ Salt and pepper: to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sautรฉ until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  2. Pour in the white wine and bring to a gentle simmer, cooking for about 3-4 minutes. Then, add the diced tomatoes and vegetable broth, stirring to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Gently add the shrimp, clams, mussels, and chunks of white fish to the pot. Stir carefully and cover, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until the seafood is cooked through.
  5. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste, and add more red pepper flakes if desired.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh herbs. Ladle into bowls and serve hot with crusty bread.
