  • 2 tablespoons shawarma spice blend

  • 200 grams plain Greek yogurt
  • 4 pieces pita bread
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 2 medium diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium sliced cucumber
  • 100 grams tahini sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: pickled red onions, sliced jalapeños, cayenne pepper, feta cheese, grated carrots, roasted red peppers, hummus

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by combining chicken thighs, shawarma spice blend, minced garlic, and plain yogurt in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper, mix well, and refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken thighs and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Let rest before slicing.
  3. Prepare the fresh ingredients by washing and chopping the lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber.
