Delicious Mediterranean-inspired kofta pita pockets filled with seasoned ground meat and topped with a refreshing cucumber sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g ground lamb or beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 pita bread rounds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix ground meat with onion, garlic, spices, parsley, salt, and pepper
- Shape mixture into small sausage-shaped kofta
- Grill or pan-fry kofta for 8-10 minutes until cooked through
- Combine yogurt, cucumber, and lemon juice to make sauce
- Warm pita bread briefly
- Fill pita pockets with kofta and cucumber sauce
