Ingredients
- π Pasta (penne or fusilli) β 12 oz (340 g)
- π₯© Steak (sirloin or ribeye) β 1 lb (450 g), cut into bite-sized pieces
- πΆοΈ Bell peppers (mixed colors) β 2, sliced
- π§ Onion β 1 medium, diced
- π§ Garlic β 4 cloves, minced
- π₯© Beef broth β 4 cups (960 ml)
- π Diced tomatoes β 1 can (14.5 oz or 410 g)
- πΏ Italian seasoning β 2 teaspoons
- π’οΈ Olive oil β 2 tablespoons
- π§ Salt β to taste
- π§ Pepper β to taste
- π§ Grated Parmesan cheese β for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients by cutting the steak, slicing the bell peppers, dicing the onion, and mincing the garlic.
- Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sautΓ© the onion and bell peppers for 3-4 minutes, then add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Return the seared steak to the pot and add pasta, beef broth, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After cooking, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Let sit for a few minutes before serving, optionally garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
