Ingredients

- 1 whole chicken (about 1.5 kg)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 lemon, halved
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- Rub olive oil all over the chicken.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Stuff the cavity with lemon halves, garlic cloves, and rosemary.
- Place chicken breast-side up on a roasting pan.
- Roast for 1 hour 20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
