  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat each ball in powdered sugar.
  6. Place cookies on the baking sheet, leaving space between them. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
