  • 🍤 Shrimp: 1 lb, peeled and deveined
  • 🦀 Crab meat: 1 cup
  • 🌶️ Paprika: 1 teaspoon
  • 🌿 Fresh parsley: 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • 🌱 Fresh chives: finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrots, and chopped celery. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the bay leaf and dried thyme, then pour in the seafood stock and water. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove the bay leaf, then stir in the heavy cream and tomato paste.
  5. Add the shrimp and crab meat, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  6. If desired, use an immersion blender to puree the bisque to your preferred consistency.
  7. Ladle the bisque into wide bowls and garnish with fresh parsley and chives.
