A simple and delicious shredded chicken recipe made in a crockpot with BBQ sauce.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and mix with the sauce.
- Serve on buns, tacos, or as desired.
Notes
- Use your favorite BBQ sauce for best results.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
