Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup stone-ground grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a pot. Stir in grits and salt.
  2. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
  4. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and shrimp.
  5. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink.
  6. Sprinkle paprika and black pepper over shrimp.
  7. Serve shrimp over grits and garnish with parsley.
