Simple Lemon Parmesan Pasta is a quick and delightful meal bursting with fresh flavors, combining zesty lemon and rich Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- Spaghetti: 400 grams (14 oz)
- Olive Oil: 4 tablespoons
- Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
- Lemon Juice: 1/4 cup, freshly squeezed
- Lemon Zest: 1 tablespoon
- Grated Parmesan Cheese: 1 cup
- Salt and Pepper: to taste
- Fresh Parsley: 1/4 cup, chopped
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, along with 1/4 cup of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of lemon zest. Toss gently to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta and toss until melted and evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat, transfer to serving plates, and garnish with 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!
