Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups M&M’s, plus extra for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in M&M’s.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  8. Press extra M&M’s on top if desired.
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
