- 400g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti until al dente.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add sliced garlic and chili flakes, sauté until garlic is golden but not burnt.
- Drain pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Toss cooked spaghetti in the garlic oil mixture, adding pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Season with salt and garnish with parsley and Parmesan if desired.

- Use high-quality olive oil for best flavor.
- Adjust chili flakes to your preferred spice level.
- Do not burn the garlic—it will turn bitter.
