Ingredients

- 1 lb spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 24 oz tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Brown meatballs on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce, oregano, and basil to skillet.
- Simmer covered for 15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve meatballs and sauce over cooked spaghetti.
Notes
- For softer meatballs, soak breadcrumbs in milk before mixing.
- Fresh herbs can be used instead of dried.
- Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 3 days.
