Description
A luxurious and comforting dish featuring tender beef fillet paired with a rich, creamy pepper sauce.
Ingredients
- 🐄 Beef Fillet: 2 pieces (about 6-8 oz each)
- 🥛 Heavy Cream: 1 cup (240 ml)
- 🌶️ Black Pepper: 2 teaspoons (freshly cracked, adjust to taste)
- 🧄 Garlic: 2 cloves (minced)
- 🧈 Butter: 2 tablespoons
- 🧂 Salt: to taste
- 🌿 Fresh Parsley: for garnish (chopped)
Instructions
- Take the beef fillets out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to reach room temperature. Pat them dry and season with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, scrape up browned bits, and add black pepper and salt. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Heat the skillet again, add the remaining butter, and sear the beef fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until medium-rare (130°F/54°C).
- Remove the fillets and let them rest. Return them to the skillet, spoon the sauce over, and heat for an additional minute.
- Serve the beef fillets on plates, drizzled with sauce and garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- Ensure the beef is at room temperature before cooking for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the skillet when searing the beef.
- Let the beef rest after cooking to retain juices.
- Always taste the sauce and adjust seasoning as needed.
