Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir to combine.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk. Cook until thickened.
- Add cooked chicken, carrots, peas, and celery. Mix well.
- Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
- Pour filling into the crust.
- Cover with second pie crust. Seal edges and cut slits in the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
- Can use frozen vegetables if fresh aren’t available.
- Let pie rest before cutting to prevent runny filling.
