  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir to combine.
  4. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk. Cook until thickened.
  5. Add cooked chicken, carrots, peas, and celery. Mix well.
  6. Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
  7. Pour filling into the crust.
  8. Cover with second pie crust. Seal edges and cut slits in the top.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until crust is golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
