Ingredients
- Shrimp: 1 lb (peeled and deveined)
- Steak: 1 lb (sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces)
- Fettuccine Pasta: 12 oz
- Heavy Cream: 1 cup
- Garlic: 4 cloves (minced)
- Cajun Seasoning: 2 tablespoons
- Parmesan Cheese: 1 cup (grated)
- Fresh Parsley: 1/4 cup (chopped, for garnish)
- Salt and Pepper: to taste
- Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons (for cooking)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and save 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Toss the steak pieces with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the seasoned steak for 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and cook the shrimp with the other tablespoon of Cajun seasoning for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Lower the heat, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute, then add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, adjusting with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Add cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and steak to the skillet, tossing gently to coat with the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- Adjust spice levels by modifying the amount of Cajun seasoning.
- Substitute chicken for steak or scallops for shrimp if desired.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
