Description

Zesty Cajun Shrimp and Steak in Creamy Alfredo Pasta is a delightful combination of flavors that will tantalize your taste buds, bringing together the best of Cajun cuisine and creamy Alfredo sauce.

Ingredients

  • Shrimp: 1 lb (peeled and deveined)
  • Steak: 1 lb (sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • Fettuccine Pasta: 12 oz
  • Heavy Cream: 1 cup
  • Garlic: 4 cloves (minced)
  • Cajun Seasoning: 2 tablespoons
  • Parmesan Cheese: 1 cup (grated)
  • Fresh Parsley: 1/4 cup (chopped, for garnish)
  • Salt and Pepper: to taste
  • Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and save 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Toss the steak pieces with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the seasoned steak for 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and cook the shrimp with the other tablespoon of Cajun seasoning for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  5. Lower the heat, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute, then add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, adjusting with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Add cooked fettuccine, shrimp, and steak to the skillet, tossing gently to coat with the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust spice levels by modifying the amount of Cajun seasoning.
  • Substitute chicken for steak or scallops for shrimp if desired.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat with a splash of milk or cream to restore creaminess.
